The primary focus of these programs is the student's service learning placement. Students may work at local development or educational organizations during an entire summer or semester in Spain or Argentina. All service learning programs begin with an intensive language course, and during the semester students may also choose to take a content course alongside their placement.
Students at the advanced Spanish level may undertake a service learning opportunity for 3-4 credits as part of their regular Spanish Studies semester program. Service learning placements are treated as a course, in addition to the student's regular course schedule. The course option is also available as a summer term in Argentina.
