The primary focus of these programs is the student's service learning placement. Students may work at local development or educational organizations during an entire summer or semester in Seville or Alicante, Spain, or Córdoba, Argentina. All service learning programs begin with an intensive language course, and during the semester students may also choose to take a content course alongside their placement.
Students at the advanced Spanish level may undertake a service learning opportunity for 3-4 credits as part of their regular Spanish Studies semester program in Seville, Alicante, Córdoba, or San Juan. The Service Learning Course is also available during the summer term programs in Córdoba and San Juan. Service learning placements are treated as a course, in addition to the student's regular course schedule.
