Ten Reasons for Completing Your CC-CS Application Early!

1. You can enjoy your current semester without having to worry about your application for study abroad. Get it done for your own peace of mind!
   
2. You will have ample time to sort out your financial situation. Whether it be applying for a CC-CS scholarship, transferring financial aid from your home institution, or figuring out how many hours you have to work at your part time job to be able to make a weekend trip to Rome during your semester in Alicante, Spain.
   
3. You’ll have time to meet with your advisors/ professors to review the courses you’ve selected and make sure that you’re getting the credit you need to graduate on time!
   
4. You can get a head-start on your post-acceptance materials (digital headshot, health questionnaire, flight info, ISI Card Number, Intercambio Form…etc). There’s a lot to do to prepare for your time abroad!
   
5. You will have ample time to apply for a student visa if necessary. Students studying in Spain for longer than 90 days need a visa and this process can be headache-inducing…especially if left to the last minute!
   
6. You’ll have better luck finding a cheap flight! The earlier the cheaper!
   
7. Make your friends jealous!
    
    Friend: “Where are you living next semester, off campus or in the dorms?”
    You:  “I’ll be in Argentina, actually…”
   
8. You can start networking with other students attending the same program as you. Accepted students automatically receive invites to a closed Facebook group for their program! Talk flights, talk early arrival, talk courses, talk packing, talk trips!
   
9. You’ll have more time to research your program location. If you’re going to Argentina, you can rent El Hijo de la Novia and Nueve Reinas and you can start reading Borges.  If you’re going to Spain, you can start reading Cuentos de la Alhambra and watch Todo Sobre Mi Madre. You can buy a Lonely Planet guide and start planning what to bring and what to see! Oh, and you can start a travel blog!
   
10. And most importantly…You’ll be able to get rid of those pesky reminder emails from your friendly, well-meaning, CC-CS staff!
