International Business and the European Union (4cr)
Available In Summer Term 1
This course provides an in depth introduction to political and economic aspects of the European Union (EU) and detailed analysis of how they affect international business. The monetary, fiscal, and labor policies of the EU, as well as economic differences among member states, will be examined. Students will also study the principal businesses and companies of the EU, their management, relations with Spain and the U.S. and the their role in the globalized economy. Field trips to local and multinational companies are included. |

Language and the Practice of Business Spanish
Available Summer Terms 1 & 2
This course focuses on development of Spanish language skills specifically for use in the business world. Students discuss business news, give presentations on business topics, and visit local firms to introduce students to the culture of business in Spain.
Prerequisite: One year of intermediate college Spanish or the equivalent, and previous study of business. |

Advanced Spanish Language Course, with Business Complementary Course
Available Summer Term 1 & 2
CC-CS students in the Alicante summer program enroll directly with international students in an intensive language course for 4 credits. Students who qualify to enroll in advanced Spanish classes may also enroll in Business Spanish, a 1 credit complementary course. |
