"Spanish Studies Abroad is really great about offering side trips to museums or other 'cultural' spots." Katie Adams

Travel Guide
Seville, Spain

Now that all of that paperwork is over, its time to get excited and start making your travel plans!

Booking your flight

First things first, you'll need to book your flight. Buying tickets in advance can often save you money, so plan ahead.
Student Universe and STA Travel are good sources to search for student airfares. You may also explore other search engines or contact your local travel agent.

IMPORTANT!!!:
Almost all flights from the U.S. to Spain and Argentina are overnight flights. So, if you are flying from the U.S., you MUST depart THE DAY BEFORE orientation begins. See the suggested departure dates below for your program.

Remember: Spanish Studies Abroad needs to know the exact time, date, airline name, and flight number of your arrival in your host city. Make sure to fill out the "Arrival Information" form in your Student Account or email your arrival information to info[at]spanishstudies.org.

*Spanish Studies Abroad representatives will be at the Seville airport between noon and 1 pm (Spanish time) and the group transfer will depart at 1 pm for the orientation hotel with the students who have gone through customs with their luggage.

Those who do not arrive in time for the group transfer should take a taxi to the orientation hotel and plan to arrive between noon and 6 pm (lunch will be served at 2 pm).  Please note that students taking taxis will be responsible for all costs involved. All flights to Spain are overnight, so plan to depart for Spain the day before orientation.
**Housing ends on the "Program End Date." Students should plan their return flights for that day.
***Spanish university courses generally end in December with finals scheduled in January. Students will have an add/drop period to determine their schedule and may seek to arrange early exams with the course's professor.
****Please Note: Students enrolled in the Academic Year Program without the Winter Term who would like to stay in housing between semesters will have to pay an additional fee. Please contact the U.S. office for details.
