Travel Guide
Córdoba, Argentina

Now that all of that paperwork is over, its time to get excited and start making your travel plans!

Booking your flight

First things first, you'll need to book your flight. Buying tickets in advance can often save you money, so plan ahead.
Student Universe is a good source to search for student airfares. You may also explore other search engines or contact your local travel agent.

IMPORTANT!!!:
Almost all flights from the U.S. to Spain and Argentina are overnight flights. So, if you are flying from the U.S., you MUST depart THE DAY BEFORE the arrival date in Córdoba. See the suggested departure dates below for your program.

Remember: Spanish Studies needs to know the exact time, date, airline name, and flight number of your arrival in your host city. Make sure to fill out the "Arrival Information" form in your Student Account or email your arrival information to info[at]spanishstudies.org.

Note: Italicized dates should be regarded as tentative.

The government of Argentina has announced a new reciprocity fee of $140 for all U.S. citizens entering Argentina via an international flight or at a border crossing.  This fee reflects a similar fee charged by the U.S government to Argentine citizens entering the U.S. Students who are U.S. citizens must pay this fee.
*Travelers should note that Buenos Aires hosts two airports: Ezeiza International Airport (EZE), which handles some domestic flights and all international flights from North America, and Jorge Newbery Airport (AEP), which handles mostly domestic air traffic. If you choose to fly through Buenos Aires, you will arrive in Ezeiza International Airport. Be sure your flight to Córdoba also departs from Ezeiza to avoid the hassle of changing airports.
**Students arriving between noon and 3 pm (Argentine time) will be met at the airport by the Resident Director. The host families plan to meet students at the airport, so it is very important to notify Spanish Studies of exact arrival plans in your Online Student Account.
***Housing through Spanish Studies ends on the "Program End Date." Students should plan their return flights for that day. Also keep in mind that individual semester students may have the option of returning earlier depending on the UNC final exam schedule for their integrated course(s).
