Transcripts and Transferring Credit

Spanish Studies Abroad issues transcripts showing course numbers and titles, number of contact hours, and letter grades for all course work undertaken at Spanish Studies. Grades and credits are reported according to the semester-hour system. Most American colleges and universities accept the Spanish Studies Abroad transcript.

As a general rule, you should have all courses, internships and outside studies approved for transfer credit by your home colleges before the start of a program. This can normally be arranged through your advisor or the registrar of your college.

It is important to verify the type of transcript that your home institution accepts. In order do do this, you should contact your registrar and have them complete the Transfer of Credit and Transcripts Form.

Your college or university may require a transcript from a U.S. degree-granting institution. This service is provided by the Spanish Studies Abroad School of Record, Heidelberg University for an additional transcripting service fee.
